A full house

We had a full house today. We gained a dog and three kids :) We are dog sitting for friends and I agreed to babysit another friends kids so they could go out on a date. Six kids and three bigs dogs in my little house makes for some fun times!

The kids started getting a little antsy and Ava has been begging to make this pencil holder art project so I decided to let everyone make a pencil holder. It was lucky I had been saving up the empty toilet paper rolls. The kids colored cut and glued!
Taye and Amanda filling their pencil holders with crayons and colored pencils. Taye thought he could take the crayons home, so when he wasn't looking I emptied the pencil holder out.
So this is what we made. In the original picture the pencil holder looks like a castle tower. But in order to make it look that way you needed felt (or colored paper) and glitter and probably not 4 kids trying to do it at once. Whatever though, it all worked out and everyone was happy. Especially Ava.
Brie was pretty happy too :)
After the project and before dinner I thought it was cool that all the kids were doing something different. Lex is playing a leapster on the couch, Elli is watching Brie lay on her blanket in the stroller, Ava is on the sit and spin, Amanda is thrilled to be jumping on the trampoline and Taye is getting a drink of water.
Ziggy, our doggy guest, was just looking for some attention from me. I am pretty sure she wanted to be rescued from all the little ones.
This is her way of insisting to be petted, a nose in the crotch. Yes, I did pet her, how could I not, and I was tired of her nose in my business.
After dinner, I decided to let the kids watch a movie and have some popcorn. Lex picked Dora. Brie and Elli were not impressed.
I'll leave you with this one of Brie. I told her to smile. I wish I knew how to aim a camera...
Oh and Ziggy has recovered. The three kids are gone and my three are in bed. Ziggy is laying happily at my feet keeping them warm. I wish my dogs did this. I think I will dye Ziggy's fur black and one of my dogs fur brown and trade. Do you think Ziggy's parents will notice? Oh wait...they read this blog...crap...

so i'm catching up on blog reading... i guess i should have told you about the crotch thing.
;-) Although it's not always the crotch - she just presses her nose into whatever is closest to get attention.
