Impromptu Birthday Party

This afternoon my friend Lori called wanting to bring something by before we left. So of course I asked her if she wanted to come to dinner also. She happily agreed and asked what she could bring. I couldn't think of anything because, quite honestly, I had had so many sweets this past week that I was over it. Then we thought of a birthday cake for Ava! So she brought one and it is so Christmas-y awesome.

Ava was SO excited! I love Amanda and Brie looking on in this picture. They look so fascinated!
On to the gifts. This is her friend Caleb. he got her the Barbie Christmas Carol movie. I am pretty sure that will be the first movie we watch on our car trip to Indiana.
Grandma Linda's birthday present arrived today as well so we let Ava open it. I am pretty sure the glue stick was her favorite part.
About 15 seconds after this picture was taken, Brie opened that package of feathers. Thankfully I got to her before she got the feathers out!
Ava couldn't wait to get her hands on this construction paper either. The girl is a craft-o-holic! Notice my 18 month old in the background getting the scissors. Whoops.
It was most certainly a Happy Birthday for Ava!! She has no idea that there is more to come!
