Out the door
We do this multiple times a day. It satisfies my need for power and control and it's just funny.
The only way out to the backyard is through the sliding glass door or the sliding screen door. When the dogs go out it is a frenzy of energy and excitement. They think they are quick enough to get whatever it is that they hear (they're not). We have lost two screen doors because of the dogs running through them like wild banshees.
So this is what it looks like. Notice poor Ziggy who isn't used to the waiting and competing to get outside first. She wants out SO bad. Usually Lola jumps over Gina on the way out. She can't resist it.
Enjoy.

Ok just as an aside I am reminded why I do not blog while my kids are awake. It has taken me about 20 minutes to type this. It's amazing the fights that break out as soon as I turn my attention to the computer. As soon as I turn away they magically stop.

I remember our old dog Toby used to do that when we'd go to the barn door to feed the horses. There were a lot of rats and mice in the barn, so he'd dash in when the door was opened and they'd all scatter! He'd catch a lot of them. I remember he'd tremble with excitment as we'd tease him by slowly opening the door! :o) Poor dog!
